FIRST SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST
When we approach the table that is fully laden with ‘food for the way’, let us be fully embraced by Christ through His sustaining Body and Blood. Draw near to Christ, because he has drawn near to us by offering himself. Allow him to come closer by partaking in the communion, he will only come closer still.

Pentecost Sunday
Almost all of us have a greater difficulty in understanding Holy Spirit! How do we picture the Holy Spirit? In Acts 2, Holy Spirit is likened to a violent wind and tongues of fire. In Mathew 3:16 the Holy Spirit is compared to a descending dove. Elsewhere the Holy Spirit is experienced through various gifts (See Epistle readings from I Cor. 12:4-11) and fruit (Gal. 5:22-23). Let’s praise Almighty God with all our hearts while kneeling down for the blessings of the Holy Trinity during the Special Liturgy today; cry out ‘Kuiyalayison’ Lord have mercy upon us!
